Las Tunitas Academy Director
My name is Cristina Romo, I am the third child of a family of nine children. I always wanted to have a big family like my parents but now that I am a mother of four children I think I have changed my mind. My oldest is Isabella who is fifteen, then Pablo who is eight, and twins Cristian and Maya who will be four in December.

I enjoyed growing up in a big family and I think that is why I have enjoyed working with children for over thirteen years. I received my B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in Early Childhood from San Francisco State University in 2015. I taught preschool a couple of years then moved on to teach first grade for two years. I enjoyed teaching elementary school but found that my heart belonged in the Early Childhood field.
One of my favorite things to do is to spend time with my family. We enjoy outdoor activities like going on walks, spending time at the park and at the beach, and going on short trips. I also enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, and eating! My favorite foods are Mexican and Italian food. I am currently working on planting more succulents, which are my favorite, in my backyard. I am also a huge baseball fan. I have been rooting for the Oakland Athletics since I was nine years old. In high school I played softball and enjoyed it a lot. One of my favorite childhood memories is when my dad used to take all my siblings and I to play a friendly game of baseball at the park.
